Bend-e bed offers a contemporary reinterpretation of the ancient art of wrought iron, blending timehonoured craftsmanship with a clean, elegant, and modern aesthetic.
The project stems from a desire to celebrate traditional local techniques and materials, transforming them into a visual and formal language that speaks of roots, culture, and innovation.
The bed is characterised by its harmonious structure, in which headboard and footboard merge into a single upholstered element, offering both visual and tactile comfort. This composition is supported by a refined contrast with wrought iron legs, which lend the piece both lightness and solidity.
The iron, hand-pigmented with natural powders and finished with beeswax, reclaims centre stage through its raw material quality, enhanced by surface treatments that highlight its authenticity and natural irregularities.
Bend-e is far more than just a bed: it is a narrative of material and memory, of skilled gestures and design vision.
An object that encapsulates the identity of the land and expresses it through an essential yet deeply meaningful design.
